hello monday!

hello to a clean home!
No matter what, it always seems like our apartment is a mess after the weekend is over.
Probably because all of us are home, and routine is thrown out the window.
I have purposely made sure to have a clear schedule on Mondays, partly to help get us back on track for the week, both at home and with school.
Today has been full of laundry, dishes, vacuuming, emptying trash and wiping mirrors and countertops.
I love when everything is crisp and clean!

hello to chore lists!
Something I've been slowly, but surely implementing is a chore list for Audrey.
I admit, I'm the mom that does things she should really be doing, just so they're done "right".
So, I'm trying to let my perfectionist mentality go and give her more responsibility.
We've made up a chore chart and slowly I'm taking the time to teach her how to do certain things, that way we are both confident in her ability to do those chores.
We're also adding one thing at a time, so as not to overwhelm her.
I've realized that I'm not doing her or myself any good by taking over all of the chores.
I need to get some of it off of my plate and she really needs to learn how to help out both for now and the future.
I'm also making a master chore list and schedule to divvy up some of the bigger things between Bryan and myself.
It'll be nice to know who needs to do something and when it needs to get done. :)

hello to a 6 day work week!
In between my main job, side job and babysitting, today is my only day off.
While I will miss the freedom I've become accustomed to over the summer. I'm excited to back into the full swing of things.
I'm so blessed that I have jobs that allow me to bring my kiddos along.
I love being at home for them (and Bryan) and having the ability to homeschool and being able to put Lawson down for naps at home, amongst other things.

hello to a night out!
I'm beyond the crazy nights of drinking downtown, but I get to go see a movie with girlfriends tonight and that excites me to no end.
I've learned over the years that the simple pleasures in life really are the best and a fun, late night movie ranks up there to me.

hello to LOTS of reading!
If you know me, you know that I'm a bookworm.
At this point in my life I barely watch any tv.
Don't get me wrong, there are tons of shows and movies that are on my 'to watch' list, but when push comes to shove, getting lost in a good book almost always wins out.
I have quite the stack of books that I'm trying to make it through right now, most courtesy of the Public Library.
I've actually put myself on a bit of a library restriction over the next few weeks (or until I whittle my 'to read' pile down some).
I go into the library a few times a week for school related stuff for Audrey, but right now I'm not allowed to look for myself, no matter how hard it is.

And, as always hello to you!!

Linking up with Lisa Leonard again today. :)
